Update:Shooting E. 28th Ave: 2 possibly 3 suspects. 1 suspect wearing a green/white shirt; 2nd suspect wearing a white hoodie. Suspects fled on foot eastbound from crime scene. — Denver Police Dept.
(@DenverPolice) “Sounds like they approached our victims while they were inside this white car behind us here, fired multiple rounds into the car, then fled on foot,” Sergeant John White with the Denver Police Department said. Evan Tarver lives across the street. He says he heard the gunshot wounds.
“Sounds like somebody knocking on your window, and look out and you see two guys running down that way,” Tarver said. Police are looking for two possibly three suspects. One with a green and white shirt, the other suspect was wearing a white hoodie.
“Today’s supposed to be the day of rejoicing, family time, and thanksgiving,” Tarver said. “It’s just getting old, and it’s getting tiring.” Tarver also said, “This violence just has got to stop.” There was an annual Alumni Thanksgiving game going on at the school, but police say there is no connection between that and the shooting.
Manual is also the same school that was on lockdown about a week ago, when someone reported a gun on campus. Right now, no one is in custody.
