AutoCAD for Mac and AutoCAD LT for Mac 2015 and earlier are not compatible with macOS 10.13.x (High Sierra). AutoCAD versions 2016 and later are, although the latest updates for the products need to be applied (see Autodesk Downloads).
Hi Allen, One of our local computer magazines published an in depth review of registry cleaning and reported that there were no advantages of any sort to be gained by running any of a whole swag of these programs. There were no measurable increases in computer speed or reliability following using them. I had gained an aversion to some of them when they reported entries created by the CADApps software installers which I'd written and so fully understood should not be reported as illegal entries.
My advice would be to avoid using them unless you are actually experiencing problems which can be recognised as coming from a corrupted registry. Regards, Laurie Comerford AllenJessup wrote: Thanks. I'll check that out tonight from home.
Hi Laurie, I'm certainly not an expert on this. But (there's always a but) I have seen what I've perceived to be faster operating form computers after having run a registry cleaner. Is that maybe only a perception because I expected some improvement? I do try to avoid using them on any machine running anything from Autodesk.
I honestly couldn't say I'd recognize that a problem was definitely coming from a corrupted registry. What I am experiencing is a general slowdown of just about everything on my supposedly fast computer. Of course I see this most in Civil 3D but it seems to affect the whole system. Without a better clue I was thinking I might try to clean the registry first to see if that makes a difference.
You've given me something to think about anyway. Allen - The easiest thing I have found is the Microsoft Sysinternals AutoRuns tool. This tool looks at the all the settings that Windows has set to run at startup. I used this to fix my fathers laptop that had more settings in the registry for drivers and files that were no longer there. It now boots significantly quicker not searching for long lost files. That would be my suggestion.

I've downloaded it and will try to see if I can run it tomorrow Allen 'Matt.Anderson' wrote in message news:6317157@discussion.autodesk.com.
